Deepwater Abei Angelfish - Centropyge abei

This fish is an extremely rare deepwater angelfish found throughout the coral sea (Palau, Sulawesi, Indo-Pacific) and is the holy grail of marine angelfish in the aquarium trade. There is currently only a handful of these highly prized angelfish in captivity thought the world.

This fish is found almost exclusively below 100m deep (330ft) at temperatures of around 68-74F. (Aquarium up to 76 after conditioning)

Abei Angelfish at Unique Fins are aquarium conditioned for at least 4-6 weeks prior to being offered; trained to eat prepared/ frozen foods and get used to more lighting and slightly higher temperatures than in the wild.
